Define the steps your lab actually works — model, design, mill, sinter, finish — and the production board gives each one its own column, plus a Ready for QC column and a Needs Review column for anything that does not fit.
Scan the case's barcode label and the current step is marked done and the next one starts, in one move. After the last step, the case goes to Quality Check on its own.
Print a Code 128 label for the case and stick it on the pan. Scanning anywhere in the app finds that one case by its exact case number — it never guesses at a partial match or opens the wrong case.
Every card carries its due date, and a rush case is marked as one. The board sorts so the work that is due first is what you see first.
Record the pan the case is sitting in and the pan number shows on the case itself, and prints on the internal work ticket that goes to the bench with the job — pan colour alongside it.
