This calculator counts three components: the materials and overhead consumed by the remade case, any extra shipping cost from sending it out again, and the technician labor hours spent redoing the work. It does not include soft costs like a doctor's lost trust or a rush fee you may have waived — those are real, but they're harder to put a consistent number on.
Materials and overhead as a share of case price varies a lot by case type, lab, and region — a zirconia crown and a full denture don't have the same cost structure.
